Day One in Anacortes

We are staying at the Islands Inn again.  We have stayed a number of time before and they treat us very well.  http://www.islandsinn.com/  We have a lovely king room, on the second floor with a deck overlooking Fidalgo Bay.  We can see Mt. Baker in the distance.

 After breakfast we went out to Skyline Marina to check out what we have in the storage shed we rent out there.  Merlin and I stopped in at Erika's Pet Grooming to make an appointment for Merlin's "cruising clip".  Erika was able to take him right away so we left Merlin running around with the other dogs in for their grooming.  I really like the way she runs the place.  The dogs are not in cages, but free to play.  

Emerald Star is still hemmed in by one boat and will not get out of the shed today.  That is OK, wee have plenty we can do with her right here.  We were able to unload the car entirely.  I got busy putting things away and Fred had the hard work of changing all the zincs.  Getting the old ones off is a real bear.  We had some fiberglass repair done over the winter and our black dock lines look terrible.  I took them off to get them cleaned and we left the boat a bout 2 pm to go to El Jinete Mexican Restaurant for lunch.  We usually get the Mexican pizza.  We love it!  I dropped Fred off at the boat and I went to the laundromat to wash our dock lines. They can out soft and clean.  I then picked up Merlin who has an adorable new cut and then to get Fred.
