Sunday, July 7 Burly Bay to Jennis Bay 1 ½ hours 14.6 miles

The fellows on Dolphin wanted to go fishing early in Grappler Sound.  The men in our “raft” said no thanks.  We will be heading to Jennis Bay and meet Carlinda and L'Espirit there.  A short trip today.  However, we pass through Stuart Narrows and must be there at slack.  Slack is at 2:41 pm and we were right on time.  No problem.  While we were tying up Merlin got out on the very small walk around on the starboard side of the boat.  He tried to turn around but couldn't and fell/jumped down to the dock.  About four feet.  I think he was in shock for a bit.  He didn't seem to hurt himself but he sure scared himself.  There were two American Tugs already on the dock.  The one with a dark green hull behind us is named Emerald Star II.  Small world.  The couple who run Jennis Bay are Kim & Kent.  Very nice people.  The dock was full of dogs.  Kent & Kim have three.  Bravo (old yellow lab) is still with them.  We had a wonderful time at happy hour in the cook house.  The food was wonderful and so was the company.   We are still being heavily lobbied to join the Fidalgo Yacht Club.

This sunstar tried to stowaway on our anchor

Our previous boat, Carlinda, is docked next to us in Jennis Bay

Bravo, lost an eye to a cougar confrontation a few years ago
