Fred has been busy dealing with our marine electrician, Jim, and out mechanic, Craig, up in Anacortes, WA.  Our plan was to have repairs and updates done before we get there in a couple weeks.  We had more electrical outlets installed and Jim does beautiful work.  Suddenly it seems that everything has been left until the last minute!  We are planning to be leaving California around May 7th.

One month to go

One would think that after all these years of cruising that we could plan our next trip in a day.  Not so. It is not that easy preparing when we live in the SF Bay Area and Emerald Star is in Anacortes, WA.  Fred & I are busy looking at photos and lists that we made last fall to determine what we need to purchase or bring up to Anacortes with us again.  We were fortunate to be able to store Emerald Star on the hard in a temperature controlled building at North Harbor Diesel for the winter.

When we checked on her in January when we attended the Seattle Boat Show she was tucked in safe & sound.  We hope to be back in the water by May 10 and head to British Columbia and the Inside Passage ASAP.
